A COMPUTER virus which threatens to destroy information on one’s computer unless a ransom is paid has been discovered in Leon, northern Spain.
The National Institute of Information Technology, INTECO, in Leon, discovered ‘Ransom AN’, a virus which kidnaps the Windows operating system, threatening to destroy the data if €100 is not paid within 48 hours.
