Spanish Navy slip into Torrevieja Torrevieja’s Puerto Deportivo de Marina Salinas welcomed a very different visitor from their usual luxury yachts and boats in the form of ‘Neptune A-20’, a Spanish Armada vessel used for search and rescue missions.
During her short stay, the ship’s commander welcomed representatives from Torrevieja to tour the ship and to relax in their Wardroom.
The Neptune’s commander gave a donation to the Museum of Sea and Salt, a ceremonial flag called “Tajamar Torrotito or” flag is only used by Navy ships on holidays or when a foreign ship docked in port.
The commander of the ship was very grateful for the welcome they received from Torrevieja’s City Council and praised the extraordinary work that the torrevejense do with everything related to maritime matters.
