An utterly warped sense of duty

IS it not beyond the belief of all reasonably sane human beings that the pin-headed ‘ealth and safety brigade are still causing the death of innocents because of their continuing preoccupation with piffling rules and regulation?

Not content with watching some poor soul drown because they didn’t have the right ‘expertise’ at hand and recently allowing a woman to die in agony, because the rescue equipment available was not meant to be used for the general public, their utterly warped sense of duty has now caused the death of yet another tragic young ‘victim’.

Shannon Powel was just 14 when she experienced a violent fit during a cross country run. As she lay foaming at the mouth and writhing in the mud, paramedic Cassandra Lynn allegedly refused to carry the child to the ambulance citing the fact that it was a health and safety issue as she could possibly ‘injure her back!’ You really couldn’t make it up.

By the time first-aiders on duty had got over the pure shock of this statement and decided to put the young girl in the ambulance themselves, it was all too late.

The poor little soul had another seizure and died on the way to the hospital. Well all I can say is that I hope Ms Lynn can sleep at night, I know I couldn’t.

To my mind this apology for a medic should at the very least get the sack and at the very most be prosecuted for causing death by negligence, but she won’t will she? She was more likely commended by her superiors for following their rules to the letter.

She’ll surely be up for promotion soon.

Probably get the medic of the year award I shouldn’t wonder. Meantime she remains free to follow her profession until she allows some other poor soul to expire ‘cause she may ‘hurt her back’.

Sometimes I really do despair of it all y’know. Did you see the unbelievable claims made by some black commentators that Ms Misha B was voted off the X Factor because she was ‘too black’?

Did you ever think it possible that even in this day and age there are still bigoted dinosaurs out there that have the audacity to come out with such inflammatory and antiquated statements as this?

Watch my lips. Ms B, who was undoubtedly the best singer in the competition, saw her popularity wane when she was shown to be an overbearing self opinionated bully.

Nothing whatever to do with the colour of her skin. Till next week.

Keep the faith.
