Alicante Youth Orchestra Triumph

Torrevieja’s Municipal Theatre was almost filled to capacity to be entertained by the Alicante Youth Orchestra.

Despite the cooler weather last week more than 500 patrons enjoyed an entertaining evening of music.

The Orchestra was directed by Juan Bautista Rosello, demonstrating the provincial capital’s and his personal commitment to the musical institutions that represent the city of Torrevieja.

The concert, was organized into two parts, both led by Francisco Maestre. The first half featured Brahms “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra” featured led by the solo violin, of Andrei Frolov.

After the intermission, the Youth Orchestra of the Province of Alicante performed a beautiful version of “The Nutcracker” and after the insistent applause of the audience, took to their seats once again to perform as an encore “The Radetsky March”.

Three of the musicians who make up this young but prestigious orchestra are torrevejenses with this number expected to rise in the next few years.
