Apadac denounces ‘brutal’ attack on dog

THE ‘brutal assault’ of a dog in Callosa de Segura has been denounced.

The fox terrier was found on Christmas Eve in a rubbish bag in a container with a fractured hip and leg – which has had to be amputated – as well as many bruises all over its body.

The abandoned domestic animal shelter Apadac has reported the case in the hopes that the person responsible be brought to justice.

It was one of the shelter’s volunteers who heard the dog’s wines coming from the rubbish container in the El Baden area of Orihuela.

Upon a closer look, she noticed that the bag moved and opening it found the tortured dog that has been called ‘Foster’ inside. She took the one-and-a-half-year-old dog to the Canine Hospital in Guardamar del Segura.

Apadac opened a campaign to raise the funds to pay Foster’s €600 vets bill. The German community has been a great help and part of the bill has already been paid.

Despite only having three legs, the vet says that Foster can lead a normal life. He is now looking for a loving home.

Apadac’s number is 622 581 389
