MORE than one million people in Spain are permanently connected to social networking sites, which is 9.2 per cent of the total number of users of such sites.
Spain is ahead of most EU countries, apart from the UK, in the use of ‘smartphones’, which account for more than 46 per cent of handsets in the country.
Plus the number of mobile broadband connections in 2011 overtook traditional connections with a total of 13.96 million lines, according to a report published by Telefonica and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
