THE Mayor of Fuengirola, Esperanza Oña, announced that work to reform the Carvajal seafront promenade in Fuengirola would start this year.
The work on the fourth phase of the promenade has been pending since 2004, but Oña recently met with the Secretary of State for the Environment, Federico Ramos, who confirmed that the central government would give it the go-ahead and that it would be included in the budgets for 2012 and 2013.
