A boatload of fun in Benitachell

A SAMPLE of top luxury cruising came to a small Valencian village last when Regent Silver Seas Assistant Cruise Ship Director, Chris Martin, expertly hosted a special fun and games evening that included a team representing ‘Help for Heroes.’

Under the banner of ‘Ultimate Team Challenge,’ minus his life jacket, Chris introduced a series of events that were normally reserved for the exclusive entertainment of privileged guests sailing the world aboard one of the three Silver Seas five star cruise ships offering all-inclusive luxury travel.

Within the spacious centre room of the Benitachell Arts Centre, ten well fed and watered teams wrestled for top spot, in a battle that included mind games, general knowledge trivia, horse racing and balloon dexterity on the dance floor.

The winning team of six were awarded €20 each and a promise of a wonderful holiday if they joined Chris on his next voyage aboard SS Navigator.

Benitachell Arts Centre Directors Mike and Ann Martin, said they were especially pleased with the amount of support received on the night and would love to repeat the event when Chris gets his next shore leave, hopefully in the autumn.

The Centre, well known for hosting many charity events throughout the year, also supports a variety of local educational classes including a dance and a theatre school offering private A level Performing Arts tuition.
