ONCE again, The Music Makers managed to transform a cold and dark night in Puerto Pollensa, into an evening with a sparkle.
Under the direction of their Musical Director, Ken Greenall, Music Makers presented their ‘Valentine’s Extravaganza’ to a delighted audience in the Vecinos Rooms in the Port on Monday evening.
There certainly was no need for a song sheet, as the audience seemed to know the words for most of the songs, most of which had a romantic theme.
Before the concert, Mary Brown from Music Makers presented a cheque to the representative from Spanish cancer research charity AECC.
Music Makers continue to enjoy singing together, to bring pleasure to their audiences, and raise money for local charities. Music Makers are looking for new members and appealed in their programme for people who enjoy singing and can spare a few hours a week to contact 971 865071.
Why, as I was leaving, was this non-singer trying to give the world his version of, “On This Night of A Thousand Stars?”
Thank you Music Makers. Another successful concert!
