A system is planned for Mojacar, connecting the bottom part of the town with the main Plaza Nueva at the top of the hill.
In an interview on Spectrum FM Radio, Mayor Rosa Maria Cano said that it could be a lift, pulley system, moving staircase or another specially designed mechanism.
She announced that the town hall has received 92 entries in a contest they are holding for design ideas.
The closing date for entries is Friday.
