Teulada-Moraira Lions Ascot evening raises €600

THE Lions Club of Teulada-Moraira once again held their annual Ascot Evening at El Andaluz restaurant in Moraira.

Some eyebrows were raised when Lion President Dr. Nico Dekkers’ horse won the auction race.

The event was well supported as usual and sponsorship of the races and horses ensured a profit of over €600 towards Lions charities.

A fine display of hats was sported by the ladies, with Cora, Dr. Dekker’s wife presenting a prize to the best example of the milliner’s art.

Meanwhile, the Lions will be holding a quiz night at El Corregidor restaurant, Moraira on the evening of Friday March 30 and all budding ‘eggheads’ are warmly welcomed to join in the fun. Info: 965747343 or www.teuladamorairalions.org
