GRANADA Public Prosecutor is asking for 14 years in prison for a man accused of setting fire to the door of a pub in Salobreña in December 2009 knowing that there were people inside. He allegedly doused the door with petrol after he had an argument with the owner of the premises and set fire to it, while fully aware that the fire could spread inside or to the apartments above.
The premises were not damaged thanks to the rapid action of the people who were inside who used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.
Despite this, damages valued at €1,220 were caused to the pub.
