A MAN, 30, was shot in Antequera while chasing a hooded intruder who attempted to enter his home.
He told the police that a noise on the terrace had awoken him and he caught the man attempting to get in.
When the intruder fled, he picked up a knife and followed him down the street, but when he turned a corner, there were four men, one of whom allegedly shot at him.
When police arrived on the scene they didn’t wait for an ambulance and rushed him to hospital in the patrol car to avoid him losing more blood.
The victim was admitted with a shot wound to the left hand which fractured his finger, while the National Police opened an investigation into the break-in.
