Their dynamic style of music is both happy and outgoing and has roots in jazz, rhythm and blues and Swing.

The inspiration for these musicians who, led by the extraordinary voice of Tracey Reid, is of timeless fun and certainly this is not an evening that will leave anyone indifferent to the music being played in the intimate atmosphere of the 220 seat auditorium.

Tracey Reid was born in London in 1967 and began her musical career at the tender age of eight, when she joined the local church choir.

Born to Jamaican parents, she grew up in a house full of music with influences ranging from Reggae, Jazz and Soul to Gospel plus Rhythm and Blues.

Tracey spends her time moving between London and Valencia and has appeared on many BBC Shows, with the likes of Michael Aspel and other variety shows, has recorded in Abbey Road Studios and performed in such landmarks as Ronnie Scott’s, The Marquee Café and Hackney Empire.

In July 2010, Tracey decided that the time was right to form a new band and to play the music she loves to perform, drawing her influences from the greats such as Dinah Washington, Ruth Brown, Anita O’Day, Duke Ellington, Nat king Cole, Louis Jordan, Nina Simone, Cab Calloways and dozens of others, many of whose songs you may hear her sing on Sunday night.

If you like the dance music of the 40’s, to hear a great live band in Torrevieja’s best acoustic theatre, then don’t miss Tracey Reid and the Sweet Rhythm Kings on Sunday night, for a fun filled evening of smooth jazz, cool blues but most of all a touch of swing.
