THE deaths of a mother and son in Almonaster La Real, Huelva, 18 years ago have been linked to a sacrifice to the Andean Goddess Pachamama.
A Bolivian man has been in prison since October last year charged with the double murder of his partner and her son, and the lawyer representing the woman’s father plans to ask for 50 years in prison when the case comes to court, something which could take at least one year.
The man was arrested in France after the bodies were found on his property in Huelva in September last year, until then, he had been living in Spain, running an academy.
The lawyer reported that the deaths may have been part as a ritual, as decapitation is a habitual part of celebrations held in August in honour of this goddess, and the murders are suspected to have taken place in that month.
