THE Costa del Sol Tourism Board has launched a new campaign to attract national and foreign tourists.
The Tourism Board has joined forces with more than 100 local businesses from the tourism sector to create a campaign which promotes the area, and not only the traditional sun and sand holidays, but also all-year tourism.
The President, Elias Bendodo, said that more than 320 promotional events would be carried out in 35 different countries, 37 per cent more than last year.
The aim is to change the strategy by going beyond the main tourism fairs and promoting the area where it will be seen by more potential tourists, who are now travelling by buying their own tickets and booking their own hotels.
