MOTRIL Town Hall has granted the licence for a sugar cane theme restaurant and café at the local Fabrica del Pilar.
The management contract is for 30 years and includes the urbanization of the 450 metres surrounding the restaurant with garden areas and decorative lighting.
The premises include a warehouse and an octagonal factory floor.
The restaurant will have seating for 80 people and the cafeteria for 50, who will be able to try different local products depending on the year, and food made with sugar cane derivates.
The restaurant will have an open floor plan and a kitchen surrounded by windows so clients can see how their meals are prepared.
The aim is for the complex to hold gastronomic events which will promote Motril at a national level.
The warehouse area will be used as an exhibition hall.
