ASSISTANT funeral director Bernie Tiede was one of the most beloved residents of Carthage, Texas. Bernie befriended Marjorie Nugent, an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as her fortune. He often travelled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie had been dead for some time, and Bernie was being charged with the murder.

Not sure what the 5 stars are for, I’d say 3 at the most. Although the film is not bad, they should have added a warning for men that Jack Black would be playing the role of.. er, Jack Black, singing and prancing about. Why oh why does he always have to sing? Put a lid on it Jack.
