HIDING PLACE: Cash in hairbrush.
FOUR Romanians who stole €850 from a party disabled 84-year-old in Alicante have been arrested, Guardia Civil officers have revealed. The man using a walking frame had just withdrawn the money from a bank in Salinas when three women approached asking him to join an Non Government Organisation by filling in a form.
While distracted, one allegedly took an envelope with the cash from his pocket and ran to a waiting vehicle, the officers said. The Guardia Civil intercepted the vehicle shortly later on the road leading to Sax. The women and the driver were arrested and the money was allegedly found hidden in a hair brush after a search of the car.
