STUNNING SETTING: Almeria’s Alcazaba.
THE Alcazaba of Almeria will host a poetry reading in the Muro de la Vela at 7pm on Saturday. This follows an initiative by artists and professors as a ‘zero cost contribution to culture’, said organiser Virginia Fernandez.
Several writers and professors will read out poems, originally within the Arab literary tradition. However, all topics are welcome and also protests, since a mass demonstration against the government’s cutback is scheduled on the same day, she said.
