EPIC JOURNEY: The three men return from Mazarron to Madrid on Sunday.

THREE cyclists return from their epic ride from Mazarron to Madrid on Sunday afternoon. Brothers Shaun and Jonathon and their Welsh buddy Steve left on their charity cycle ride at 8.30am on Saturday September 22, heading for Madrid and are due to return to Mazarron on Sunday 30 September.

Trying to avoid the Autovia, their route took in well know tourist spots of Agramon, Munera and Coral de Almagur, all to raise money for the charity PALS (Protection and Life Saving which was formed 12 years ago following the tragic drowning of a toddler on Camposol, in recognition of the sterling work done by the emergency services.

The event is being sponsored by TJ’s bar on Camposol B and the car park outside the bar has been reserved for the welcome party. The boys are expected back around 2.30pm and the Mayor of Mazarron has been invited.

Throughout the summer TJ’s have held a special event at the end of each month to raise money for PALS including a toga party, a curry night, an inland beach party and on the night before the cyclists set off a 24-hour pool contest.
