AS storms brought mayhem and tragedy to Southern Spain, there was a lucky escape for 35 fairground workers in Gandia as a freak tornado struck.
The tornado, which hit the region on Friday, claimed the lives of 11 people across Southern Spain, including 52-year-old British expat Diana Dudas, who was reported missing but has yet to be found. And there was drama at El Saler beach in Valencia as two ships ran aground in the stormy weather.
