Sky the limit for victorious Tim

A skydiver

MOJACAR resident Tim Boyd was a member of the victorious Pasada from Castellon skydiving team in the Ciudad de Alicante, taking first prize from the Alicante team that won the Comunidad de Valencia last June.
Tim who has been jumping for almost 40 years and has competed for many teams in Spain, has medals for formation skydiving and is qualified as an Accelerated Free Fall Instructor.
After making the required 1000 jumps to become eligible for an intensive American-based training programme and after qualifying as an instructor, Tim later moved to Madrid for a year to work full time at Ocana.
He points out the sport can be expensive, with jump tickets at more than €25, though most skydivers owns a parachute, jumpsuit, altimeter and helmet to keep costs down.
Tim moved to Mojacar with his wife Paula 25 years ago, and is a founder of the Bandoleros, who march annually in the Moors and Christians festival.
He has also recently ventured into amatuer dramatics, and will be playing the Italian Captain Alberto Bertorelli in Allo Allo , which opens at the end of this month.
