Raffle first prize is this car
APASA’S latest fundraising event, Fayre in the Square, brought the centre of Javea’s historic old town to life at the weekend.
The event was well supported by an array of market stalls selling everything from fashion to sculpture and cosmetics to jewellery, with entertainment in the capable hands of a Zumba dance demo, Xabia Washinkai Karate, Rodeo Stompers line dancers and the relaxed sounds of the popular ‘Swingman’ Barry Peters.
In the centre of all this activity, a gleaming, second-hand Peugeot 206 car was sitting patiently waiting for someone to become its new owner by Christmas. Donated by the dog-loving management of Javea Auto Sales, “to help a great cause,” the car, a 1.1 litre, five-door model is the first prize in the APASA Christmas raffle due to be drawn at their annual festive dinner dance on December 8.
Tickets are available from various shops in the Javea area and Pedreguer with a guarantee that 100 per cent of the sales will be donated to the dog refuge.
