Fashion show raises funds for horses

HORSING AROUND: Easy Horse Care’s Sue Weeding with Taffeta.

THE Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre Fashion Show at the Celtic Isle, Playa Flamenca raised more than €600 for the charity.

Organised by volunteer Belinda Regan, the seven models showed a range of 35 outfits from designer pieces to high street favourites. But there were no designer price tags at the event last Wednesday and all the outfits came from Easy Horse Care’s own charity shops.

Co-founder of the centre Sue Weeding said: “It is amazing to think these have all been donated to our shops and what better way to show them off than with a wonderful fashion show. My thanks go to all the volunteers, Belinda and Looking Good Boutique who have helped out and also donated a few items.”

The centre’s miniature horse Taffeta was a guest on the day, and all the clothes were available for purchase at the end of the show to help raise funds.  More bargains like those on offer at the fashion show can be found at Easy Horse Care’s newest charity shop in Guardamar which has its official inauguration tomorrow (Friday) at 1pm. Taffeta will also be there, and everyone is welcome to join the team for a celebratory glass of cava.
