THIRTY-TWO members and four guests turned up at Villamartin last week for a friendly game of golf. The play was a little on the slow side, caused by the nasty rough off of the fairways, but some amendable scores were achieved.
The Silver Division was won by the man with local knowledge, marshal Ian Parkinson with 33 points, second place was Pearl Sabine with 32 points, pushing Sandra Twentyman back into 3rd place with 31 points.
The Gold Division was, once again, won by the Captain, Alan Rickers with 35 points, following him was John Eyre with 34 and one point behind him on 33 points was Steve Higgins.
The Best Visitors prize was won by the only player to achieve his handicap of 36 points and that was Martin Pugh. Whether you live over here or are on holiday, it matters not, TMGS accept anyone to join for a friendly game of golf on some of the best courses around for very reasonable prices.
