SPLASH IN: Arta expects their beautiful coast will yield benefits.
SHOOTING a film in Arta costs €948 per day. The town hall of this town in east Mallorca decided to take advantage of their virgin coast landscape – it is the only remaining town in the island with no hotels on the seafront – and is promoting it as a movie or television set among producers.
This has already been set on in Formentera (Canary Islands) with similar conditions, but the fee is reduced to half in Arta after the first two weeks of shooting.
