THE SMELL: Up to two full-loaded dumper trucks were used for the cleaning.
A SMALL house in Estrecha de Las Lagunas Street, Mijas, was cleared as his owner was believed to be suffering from Diogenes syndrome.
Local police officers found hundreds of kilograms of waste and dump all piled up inside the building. This had long been very annoying for the surrounding neighbours. Police officers as well as firemen and members of the Health and Welfare services helped on the cleaning. The 71-year-old owner, who firstly refused to open the door, was finally brought to an elderly centre, where he was given clean clothes.
