UNIQUE: The only successful breeding of golden-cheeked gibbon in Spain was ‘Ares’, born in Bioparc Fuengirola in 2005.
THREE golden-cheeked gibbons are being taken care by Bioparc Fuengirola zoo. This is a pioneering action in zoos for reproduction of this endangered species. Last year, only three broods have been born in captivity in the whole world.
Visitors can admire this beautiful ape species for a special €10.50 ticket fee. It will only be available during the upcoming weekends of November and the first December weekend.
