Estepona Town Hall
THE town halls of Estepona, Mijas and Alhaurin el Grande in Malaga, and Almuñecar in Granada will be reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office by ombudswoman Soledad Becerril.
These towns are included on a list of a total 55 Spanish municipalities – including the Andalucian Economy Council – who have been pointed out by Becerril as uncooperative.
“They will never answer whenever I require any information,” she said during a speech in the Andalucian Congress, adding that “we may not be powerful, but the law is on our side to use it.”
In this sense, Becerril stressed that answering to the ombudswoman is required by law to public organs.
