XMAS SALES: Nerja town centre streets could soon be packed with Christmas offers.
SHOP KEEPERS in Nerja are hoping to boost trade with a series of festive measures.
They hope to attract more visitors over Christmas with the measures that include decorating the shops’ facades, organising raffles and contests, and bunting in the streets. On Thursdays shops in pedestrian areas would be allowed to set a stall outside the entrance to sell bargains and special discount goods.
These measures were proposed during a meeting between representatives of the local Business Board and the town hall. And it was hoped that another outlet and sales trade show could be held. However, the town hall is waiting for approval by the Andalucian Government, Nerja Trade Councillor Nieves Atencia said.
