Wrong woman takes baby

A WOMAN was held by Malaga Local Police as she was leaving the Maternity Hospital holding a baby that was not hers.

Ongoing investigations are trying to clarify why the actual mother – a South American resident – had registered in the hospital under a fake name, and why the woman was carrying the baby out of the health centre. Meanwhile, the newborn is under Child Custody protection.
