THIS Saturday, December 15 is sure to be a busy day in downtown Torrevieja. As part of the official activities for the campaign has been called “The 15 Magnificent days Caballero de Rodas’, the final day of events will feature many of the establishments offering various promotions on the main street.
There will be discounts on party accessories, clothes, jewelry, men’s clothing, tattoos, optical and the various bars and cafes along the street.
One of the special and unique activities takes place in the main Church Square and features Torrevieja’s Harley Davidson owners, the Chapter Santa Faz, who are raising money for Toys for Tots.
The Chapter has come up with a unique idea to help your shopping experience; selling yogurt ice cream for the knock down price of just 90-cents, all to help a worthy cause.
This unique fundraising initiative is part of the “Toy Run Alicante 2012”, which will take place on December 23rd for the benefit of the “Fundación Amigo” charity which supports families in need. The Christmas holidays are approaching fast and this type of solidarity event puts smiles on faces where such smiles are scarce.
Suminstros Hostaleros Torrevieja and the Santa Faz Chapter of Harley Davidson owners will be collecting charitable funds through the sale of yogurt ice cream in the very centre of Torrevieja, offering a selection of flavours at only 90-cents.
The ice-cream stand will be open from 11.00am until 2.00pm in Torrevieja’s Plaza de la Constitución Torrevieja accompanied by a host of Harley Davidson motor cycles from the surrounding area. If anyone wishes to bring an unwrapped Toy or suitable present for children, suitable for children up to the age of 14, these will be gladly accepted.
A smile on the faces of the children who will benefit from this “Toy Run” is worth much more than 90 cents. The organisers invite everyone to join this worthwhile and satisfying initiative. And moreover to savour the flavour of a healthy and delicious yogurt ice cream!
