ROARING SUCCESS: The Lion King comes to Benidorm
THE Lion King will be roaring into Benidorm.
The children’s show, based on the Disney movie of the same name, will be performed at the BenidormPalace on December 23 at 6.30pm.
With a cast of 15 and around 40 costume changes, voices will be heard live, promised actor Jose Luis Piqueras.
The production was a huge success in Torrevieja last month, and the cast was confident of another triumph in Benidorm, he said.
The play is a Benidorm town hall initiative, explained Culture councillor Eva Mayor, but admitted that without private enterprise there would be no show at all.
Work on the Culture Centre is halted and Benidorm lacks suitable auditoriums for an adequate cultural offer, Mayor said, urging the private sector to collaborate with the town hall on cultural events.
Tickets – €12 for adults and €8 for children – are available at the Benidorm Palace box office from Monday to Saturday from 10am onwards.
