Butterfly ball raises a bounty of cash

MORE THAN £150,000 (€185,000) was raised at the Rhys Daniels Trust Butterfly Ball in London.

PR guru Max Clifford, who owns a house in Nueva Andalucia and brings celebrities to southern Spain for fundraising efforts, is a patron for the charity, and was among the 350 guests in attendance at the annual event.

Celebrity guests included English television personality Vanessa Feltz, American comedian Billy Murray, singer Gareth Gates, and boxing star Joe Calzaghe.

The Rhys Daniels Trust has many fund raising events throughout the year with their London Butterfly Ball being one of the most high profile and prestigious evenings. The event featured a raffle, silent auction, table auction, casino and a main auction and fundraising pledges.

The Rhys Daniels Trust provides unique Home from Home self contained accommodation close to specialist children’s hospitals around the UK for families to use whilst their child is receiving life saving treatment a long way from their own home.

The Trust currently has 14 Home from Homefacilities supporting six specialist children’s hospitals and helps many hundreds of families each year.
