SAVING LIGHTS: Energy consumption has been reduced by 40 per cent, Mayor Oña said.
THE Christmas lights are shining in Fuengirola. They were officially switched on at the Plaza de España.
And a traditional nativity scene has been set up inside the town hall.
In total 1.8 million light bulbs have been used in the decorations, which are considered by Mayor Esperanza Oña to be “some of the most spectacular decorations in Spain.”
She added that, despite the number of lights, energy consumption has been reduced by 40 per cent.
