Honey trap trio jailed

A MAN and two women have been jailed for assault and robbery after they sprung a vicious ‘honey trap.’

Almeria Criminal Court heard how the victim was savagely beaten unconscious after he was lured to an El Ejido home with the promise of sex.

The court was told that at 1am on January 5, 2007, one of the women, known as ACP, approached the victim, ACG, offering him sexual services in return for cash.

After accepting, he was taken to the garage of a house in El Ejido, where FAR, who had previous convictions for robbery, and RAF awaited them with the intention of robbery.  The three punched and kicked the victim unconscious, after which they stole €1,700 and dumped him in the street.

The court has sentenced FAR to three and a half years in prison for robbery and a €270 fine. The women were each given two years jail for robbery and €180 fines.

The three were also ordered to pay a total of €600 compensation to ACG for his injuries and to return the €1,700 stolen.
