YET another deadline has been missed in Marbella’s La Bajadilla Port project.
Now proceedings have been started by the Andalucian Public Ports Agency (APPA) against Sheikh Al-Thani’s company, part owned by Marbella town council, after it missed a third deadline to pay €750,000 in fees.
The firm should have paid the first annual management fee in June. Having failed to do so, it was given until September and then December 31, but no money has been paid so far.
And the company should have presented definitive plans for the project to APPA in October. It also missed a March deadline on company paperwork.
Now the company is facing separate fines of €25,000 and €30,000 for missing the deadlines, APPA reported.
