Parrot chat
WITH proper technique, parrots can be trained to say the right words when required. They can talk because their tongue is shaped like humans. Of all parrot species, the easiest to train to speak are African Grey parrots. Generally, the smaller the parrot, the harder they are to be taught to speak. Parrots can easily remember and mimic words that are spoken when excited, which is why almost the first word they learn is ‘hi’ or ‘hello’, because these words are often said in a heightened, exited tone. This is also the reason why parrots learn to curse. It’s also best to train parrots during feeding because they can be excited when presented with a bowl of fruit.
