Noisy love birds banished

TWO amorous peacocks have been banished from Ronda after complaints about the noise they made when in heat.

The two birds had been used to wandering freely in Alameda del Tajo park.  But fed up locals living in the nearby Avenida del Poeta Rilke complained to the town hall that the birds were just too noisy, especially after midnight and when they were in heat.

Now Ronda Town Council has had the birds removed and banished to a rural house in Tolox, where they are “safe and sound,” Councillor of Parks Rafael Flores said.
