FOUR armed men handcuffed an antiques dealer and his wife to rob them.
Four men armed with guns attacked three members of the same family in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Cadiz and later gagged while they stole items from the house.
According to police sources the robbery took place when the man and his wife – both elderly – and a third member of the family entered the house.
The four men, who had been waiting in the garage, then forced their way into the house. Once inside, they immobilized the family and ransacked the house, taking €3,000 in cash, jewellery and other valuable objects, and then escaped in the family’s car. Before they left the house, the thieves cut the telephone lines and the victims were unable to contact the authorities for over an hour.
