LIFE-SAVERS: Operatives of the Consortium of Firemen in one of their rescue actions.
UP to 26 different situations along Malaga province have required intervention by the Consortium of Firemen, due to the winds and storms last weekend.
Fallen trees were the reason for firemen action in nine cases, in the towns of Manilva, Cartama, Antequera, Archidona, Rincon de la Victoria and Ronda. In the latter, two street lampposts also fell due to the strong winds.
Firemen also assisted those involved in a car accident in Estacion-Bobadilla. The winds also tore away the metal roof off a house in Cuevas Bajas and damaged a home in Ronda. In both cases, owners were helped by fire prevention operatives.
Trash bins on fire were also extinguished in Maro, Alameda and Alhaurin de la Torre.
