16 years in jail for Malaga child molester

AN Internet child molester who operated from Malaga and Barcelona between 2009 and 2010 has been sentenced to 16 years and nine months in jail.

The man, aged 45, used different e-mail accounts and tried to trick six under-13 girls into showing him their underwear and genitalia using a webcam. He was successful in two cases, the girls being aged nine and 11.

According to the sentence by the Provincial Court of Madrid, he pretended to be a child singing star in order to gain their confidence.

He was also sentenced to pay €2,000 to each of the girls’ families as compensation for moral damage.
