NEW BORNS: Couples with babies born this year will be given extra help
ALMACHAR council is to continue to help couples with new born babies with a bonus of up to €1,600 and a job offer.
Left wing (IU) Mayor Jose Gamuz said that parents of children born in 2013 will get vouchers to spend in local shops to help with the cost of having a child. And a 12 month work contract will be given to one of the parents if they are both unemployed.
The town hall will also cover the costs of all vaccinations and offers a free nursery service.
Over the last two years since the plan was launched there have been 25 more children born than in previous years.
The mayor also announced that under 17-year-olds will have free access to Municipal Sports buildings, whilst pensioners will receive a voucher worth €20.
