Wilderness tamed – Costa Blanca News

WASTELAND in Teulada is to become a green zone and recreation area.

A €25,000 grant from the Alicante provincial government will transform the 5,384 square metre plot of land at La Sabatera into an area for public use.

Located between Calles las calles Valladolid, Tarragona y Xixona,it is now due to be weeded and cleared of vegetation.  This will be carried out “selectively”, said Teulada’s mayor Antoni Joan Bertomeo, and there are plans to install benches and picnic tables.  A pathway and parking area will be provided while outdoor gym equipment and a children’s playground are also being considered.

“The town hall wants this to benefit all residents and provide another green zone that everyone can use and enjoy,” Bertomeo said.
