A BOY, four, died after falling into a pit at an old tobacco factory in Atarfe, Granada.
He was at the abandoned factory on the road to Pinos Puente because his parents wanted to take some photos.
The 12m2 pit which originally controlled the weight of lorries, was not covered or fenced off and was full of water due to recent rains. His parents claim he had died before they had time to save him. Paramedics attempted for an hour to resuscitate him.
National Police have opened an investigation into the drowning.
