DNA trace suspects held – Gava, Barcelona News

DNA found on cigarette ends helped trace three murder suspects 10 years after the crime.

Fingerprints and biological traces collected by police agents at the time revealed the genetic profiles of the suspects.

Three Romanian men living in France and Germany, with an alleged record of violence, allegedly tied up and tortured a Spanish national of Moroccan origin. They are accused of then murdering him in some partly abandoned apartments in Gava, Barcelona.

They have now been arrested and handed over by the French and German police to the Spanish authorities. All three have been remanded in custody.
