DELEGATES representing Almeria returned from Germany on three specially chartered flights.

Berlin was the host city for Fruit Logistica, a commercial trade show that provided a platform for the world’s leading fruit and vegetable producers to meet and strike business deals.

With the global market price for fruit and vegetables on the up this can only spell good news for growers in the AlmanzoraValley, say local growers.

The opportunity to emphasise stringent quality control practices was just one of the benefits of face to face meetings with Europe’s top buyers.

Representatives were also able to learn about new intensive growing methods from their counterparts at the various seminars held during the three day fair, whilst cementing relations on behalf of the Spanish government with their German counterparts. Germany is the leading market for Spanish exports.
