High speed trains
INHABITANTS of the Almanzora Valley will shortly be able to visit Spain’s capital, via a new high speed train link connecting Almeria with Madrid.
A test run was successfully completed last month, and drivers are being trained to acquire the special skills associated with operating the new rolling stock at high speeds.
RENFE, the operating company, do not have a launch date although they expect to be fully operational by the summer. The estimated time of the journey is six and quarter hours.
