A WORKSHOP to train the unemployed has opened in Olla del Rio. Twelve of the town’s unemployed will get the chance to attend a year long course designed to teach them new skills and increase their chances of employment.
Students will be fast-tracked in an intensive programme designed to award them two certificates which would normally take four years to obtain from a standard technical college.
A spokesman observed that families will be relieved that at last something is being done to halt the spiralling number of unemployed, whilst reminding students of the great opportunity being given them.
